Jam Jar Pulse Jet
I get Make Magazine and one of the articles featured was how to make a Pulse Jet in a Jam jar. The nice thing about this was that you actually got to see the eddies and currents of the burning fuel as well as hear the distinctive puttering of a pulse jet. My Dad and I tried it out and followed the directions, but only got it to work after we removed the diffuser.
